How does this program work?

OurJourney refers you directly to Project VBOT, which offers a private, personalized, and high-quality virtual MAT program that's accessible for anyone, anywhere. Within 24 weekday hours of receiving your information from us, Project VBOT will contact you directly to discuss your MAT needs and enroll you in their program.

Question 2

Do I need a smartphone to participate in Project VBOT? If so, what if I don't have one?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you will need a smartphone to participate in Project VBOT's MAT program. If you don't have a smartphone, or access to one, and have recently been released from a state correctional facility in North Carolin, OurJourney may be able to connect you with a reentry support organization or agency in your area who can provide you with a phone. Call us at 888-507-3368 (Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM or email us at contact@ourjourney2gether.com.

Question 3

Is Project VBOT free? If not, how am I supposed to pay for it?

Accepted Answer

Project VBOT isn't free. However, if you're already enrolled in Medicaid, or if you have private insurance (either through an employer or through the Affordable Care Act), Project VBOT, like most MAT programs, is covered.

Even if you don't have Medicaid or private insurance, Project VBOT will work with you to see if you qualify for a medical care grant.

This all sounds great, but what if I prefer to use Project VBOT without OurJourney's help?

OurJourney has a great relationship with the wonderful folks at Project VBOT and would love to be a part of your journey to wellness. Do you know of any other resources for MAT in North Carolina?

Several counties in North Carolina have the NCFIT program, which is specifically designed to help people coming out of prison connect with medical, mental health, harm reduction, and substance use disorder organizations. To learn more about NCFIT, including whether they service your county, click here.

In addition, some other counties in North Carolina have MAT programs or other resources for people on a journey to wellness.
